Mission

Our Mission is two fold:
Unity And Evangelism

The theme scripture for the outworking of this event is from John 17:21. Jesus prayed a prayer, let’s hear the heart in what was said by our blessed Saviour to His Father on our behalf. Even now, it brings tears to my eyes.

Unity in Jesus Christ

John 17:21-“that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. 22I And the glory which Thou hast given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one; 23I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, that the world may know that Thou didst send Me, and didst love them, even as Thou didst love Me. “

Jesus prayed that, in our union with Father God through Himself, that we would be facilitated to manifest, to make Him known to the unspiritual, as The One whom God sent. That our way of life would be so affected by our union with Them, that together, we who are in Them, would be enabled to testify of Him. What man could not attain apart from God sending Jesus, the Redeemer is seen. An aspect of the curse of sin is brother against brother, (Cain and Able) division, the bitter fruit of rebellion to God, seen as broken in Jesus Christ, through us being for each other, united in Christ.

The glory Jesus had, He gave to us to provide us with all we need to live and function in this life as a distinctly set apart people who show signs that we belong to God. Oh, the comfort, the security, the peace of such a love experience in belonging to God, to His Christ and to each other. We so need this glory He’s given us, the shared benefit we all have, to supply each other and to by pass and make up for all that we must face living in this world that is hostile to our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Our perfecting, maturing, being brought to completion, is in our willingness of heart, mind, soul and strength to live out our lives in the earth in the union that we now have in Christ together with each other. Much awaits those that will. “Unity”, is the heart of God for us. I believe the new spirit in each believer is groaning a sight of relief for our salvation, and a groan of longing to be one with each other.

We host complementary luncheons for Pastors/Leaders and Representatives to share the vision of unity, to fellowship, hear from each other and to pray together. Over the months and now years we’ve been enriched, deepened and made stronger, by our willingness to embrace each other in Christ. We celebrate our difference instead of allowing them to bring division between us. We are many members, but one body, and we have need of all our body parts.

This platform is not used to convert believers to another doctrinal belief. We at JITK who host this event have come to know that we can stay on the common ground of our faith in Jesus Christ, while maintaining what is uniquely different in our expression from church to church. Under the covering of love and unity, all are free to be who they are as we gather to share, praise, worship, and pray. Jesus really is the key to unity.

Evangelism

John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

It takes a united in Christ body to lift Jesus up. This lifting up for the world to see is a picture of “fishers of men”, not one but many, that use a gill net, not a single hook. Though all are commissioned individually to go into all the world to preach the gospel, there is a time also for corporate events.

When we join in a concerted effort of faith for souls, and simply do by faith what Jesus said for us to do, then “obedience unlocks the unseen power of God”, and the world becomes interested in looking at Him. It’s not a method or a program, it’s not even a good idea, it’s what Jesus said to do, to draw men, souls to Him.

“The Bible On Parade” casts a great evangelistic net over our community. Forerunners take handouts to spectators on the street. Each church, ministry and group is listed. Included in this handout is the following evangelistic message.

Handouts given to spectators on parade route include the Following:

What’s A Christian Christmas All About?

It’s about a Person, His Name is Jesus . “God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16. The greatest gift you will ever receive is the gift of eternal life; Jesus is God’s gift to you. He is the reason for ‘all’ seasons. The Bible says, “Behold {look}, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

Today, in what you will see and hear as the parade goes by, He will be knocking at the door to your heart. We the participants know how very much you are loved by God , so we’re here today to tell you about it and to also let you know that He has a purpose for your life. Jesus has made a present and eternal difference in all our lives. He can do the same for you. No matter what’s happening in your life right now, give God a chance to help you.

How? Receive His Son Jesus, He is the Key that unlocks all of God’s provisions to you. It’s Christmas time again and you still want change in your life and family. Change is found in Him, His name is Jesus, He is the KEY. Ask Him to come into your heart and change will begin. Yes, it’s that simple.

One day very soon, He’ll come to catch away all who are His. Together we are called “The Bride” of Christ. When He comes, will you go?
What will you do with what you have seen, heard, and read at "The Bible On Parade" today?

“It’s a story about Jesus. He’s not in a manger anymore. He is the Saviour of the world.” Is He your Saviour?

Silver and gold have we none, but such as we have, “Jesus” we give to you.

“Merry Christmas Brevard"

Follow the parade to a celebration, free food, fun and gifts. At the Melbourne Auditorium. See You There!

Over the years of proclaiming the Word of God, Genesis to Revelation, we’ve seen souls saved, believers restored to the Lord and to the church, miracles of healing and many signs and wonders. It is certainly true that “He watches over His Word to perform it”.
